EcoHub Essentials was a multi-category online retailer offering electronic accessories, mobile products, personal-care tools, household items, and other everyday consumer products.

Marketorr designed and developed a Shopify storefront that organized the broad product catalogue, promoted priority offers, and guided customers from product discovery to checkout. The archived Marketorr project record identifies the engagement as a Shopify ecommerce project completed on March 14, 2019.

Project Overview

EcoHub Essentials needed an ecommerce website capable of presenting products from several categories without making the shopping experience feel disorganized.

The storefront had to support promotional campaigns, product comparisons, detailed product pages, discount offers, secure purchasing, and order tracking. It also needed a flexible structure that could accommodate new products and changing commercial priorities.

Marketorr developed the website around the main stages of an online purchase: discovering a product, reviewing its details, comparing the offer, adding it to the cart, and completing the order.

The Challenge

A broad ecommerce catalogue creates different usability challenges from a single-category store. Customers may arrive looking for a specific electronic accessory, while others browse promotional products without a fixed purchase in mind.

The project needed to:

  • Organize products from multiple consumer categories
  • Keep a large catalogue easy to browse
  • Promote new products, discounts, and weekly offers
  • Communicate prices and sale information clearly
  • Present specifications, images, and product demonstrations
  • Support individual products and quantity-based offers
  • Make cart and purchase actions easy to identify
  • Provide access to order tracking and customer support
  • Maintain consistency across desktop and mobile devices
  • Prepare the store for continuous catalogue expansion

Our Shopify Development Approach

We structured the storefront around five customer questions:

  1. What products are currently available?
  2. Which products or offers are most relevant?
  3. What does the selected product include?
  4. Is the price, delivery, and payment information clear?
  5. How can the customer purchase or track an order?

These questions shaped the homepage, product catalogue, promotional sections, product pages, purchase actions, and support navigation.

What Marketorr Delivered

Promotion-Led Ecommerce Homepage

The homepage was designed to introduce products through focused promotional campaigns rather than one continuous product grid.

Large visual sections highlighted products such as mobile cases, wireless earbuds, gaming accessories, screen protectors, and other featured items. Contrasting colours helped separate each campaign while keeping prices and shopping actions visible.

The homepage also included sections for:

  • Weekly bestsellers
  • Popular products
  • Featured categories
  • New or discounted products
  • Product recommendations
  • Limited-time offers
  • Storewide promotional notices

This structure gave customers several routes into the catalogue based on product interest, popularity, or price.

Multi-Category Product Catalogue

Marketorr developed an “All Products” area that presented the wider catalogue through a consistent ecommerce grid.

Each product card communicated essential purchasing information, including:

  • Product image
  • Product name
  • Current price
  • Previous price when discounted
  • Sale or availability label
  • Customer rating
  • Purchase action

The consistent card structure allowed products from different categories to appear together without making the catalogue difficult to scan.

Detailed Product Pages

Individual product pages were developed to answer the questions customers commonly ask before purchasing.

The visible product-page structure included:

  • Multiple product images
  • Product demonstration media
  • Product title and pricing
  • Sale information
  • Customer ratings
  • Quantity selection
  • Add-to-cart and buy-now actions
  • Product details
  • Technical specifications
  • Additional product photographs
  • Shipping information
  • Review content

This provided more context than a basic product description and helped customers evaluate both technical and practical product features.

Product Specifications and Visual Demonstrations

Some products required more explanation than a title and price could provide. Electronic accessories, cleaning tools, calculators, mobile products, and personal-care items may include different functions, dimensions, materials, or usage methods.

The storefront therefore used specifications, close-up images, demonstrations, and supporting content to explain how individual products worked.

This information reduced the need for customers to search elsewhere before making a decision.

Discount and Quantity-Based Offers

The website included promotional pricing and quantity-based offers designed to make savings easier to understand.

Customers could see the regular price, discounted price, and relevant offer close to the purchase controls. “Buy more, save more” sections also created opportunities to increase order value through multiple-unit purchases.

Product Recommendations

Related and recommended products were integrated into the shopping journey.

These sections helped customers discover complementary items and gave EcoHub Essentials additional opportunities to promote products beyond the homepage. Recommendations also supported catalogue exploration when a customer reached an individual product page through an advertisement or direct link.

Shopify Shopping Functionality

The store was developed on Shopify, giving EcoHub Essentials a structured system for managing its ecommerce operations.

The platform supported core requirements such as:

  • Product creation and editing
  • Category and collection management
  • Pricing and promotional updates
  • Product availability
  • Shopping-cart management
  • Customer orders
  • Payment processing
  • Checkout
  • Order administration

This allowed the business to update commercial information without rebuilding the storefront.

Trust and Purchase-Reassurance Elements

Customers need clear reassurance before purchasing from an unfamiliar online store. The website therefore placed practical trust information near products and purchase actions.

Visible elements included:

  • Accepted payment methods
  • Shipping information
  • Order-related assurances
  • Customer ratings
  • Product reviews
  • Secure purchase actions
  • Customer-support access
  • Promotional and delivery notices

These elements supported customer confidence at important decision points.

Order Tracking and Customer Support

Order tracking and contact options were included in the primary navigation.

Customers could move beyond purchasing to check an existing order or contact the business for assistance. Keeping these functions visible reduced the need to search through the website footer or unrelated pages.

Responsive Ecommerce Development

The storefront was developed for desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Product grids, promotional sections, image galleries, prices, product information, cart functions, and purchase buttons were structured to remain usable across different screen sizes.

This was important for customers arriving through social media promotions, mobile advertisements, search engines, or direct product links.

Scalable Shopify Framework

EcoHub Essentials needed a storefront that could change as products and promotions changed.

The Shopify framework provided room to add:

  • New product categories
  • Additional product pages
  • Seasonal promotions
  • Discount campaigns
  • Product bundles
  • Customer reviews
  • Updated collections
  • New merchandising sections

This gave the business a reusable ecommerce structure instead of a fixed product showcase.

The Final Outcome

The completed website gave EcoHub Essentials a structured Shopify platform for managing and selling products across several consumer categories.

Customers could discover featured offers, browse the wider catalogue, review detailed product information, compare prices, select quantities, complete purchases, and track orders through one connected experience.

The result was a flexible ecommerce storefront built around product discovery, promotional merchandising, purchase confidence, and catalogue growth.
