City Online Limited is a Bangladesh-based internet service provider and IT-solutions company offering FTTH broadband, Wi-Fi solutions, networking products, and technical services.

Marketorr created a complete brand identity that connects the company’s name with internet connectivity and network infrastructure. The system combines the letters “C” and “O” with an Ethernet-port symbol, supported by a technology-led wordmark, geometric construction, colour palette, stationery, social-media applications, apparel, signage, billboard concepts, and brand guidelines.

The earlier Marketorr project record identifies the engagement as a logo-design and brand-guideline project completed on December 14, 2022.

Project Overview

City Online needed an identity that could represent broadband connectivity, speed, technical capability, and dependable customer service.

The company serves residential internet users, businesses, corporate clients, gamers, media professionals, and organizations requiring IT or networking solutions. Its identity therefore needed to feel relevant to both everyday broadband customers and professional technology buyers.

Marketorr developed a geometric logo by combining:

  • The letter “C” from City
  • The letter “O” from Online
  • The recognizable shape of an Ethernet port
  • An angled wordmark suggesting speed and forward movement

These elements created an identity directly connected with the company’s name and service category.

The Brand Design Challenge

Internet providers frequently use Wi-Fi signals, globes, cables, arrows, lightning symbols, and generic technology icons. These elements communicate connectivity but often produce similar-looking identities.

City Online needed a brand system that could:

  • Represent internet connectivity without using a generic Wi-Fi symbol
  • Connect visibly with the City Online name
  • Communicate speed, network access, and technical capability
  • Establish a recognizable symbol for small digital applications
  • Appeal to residential and corporate customers
  • Work across broadband, Wi-Fi, IT, and networking services
  • Remain readable on dark, light, blue, and yellow backgrounds
  • Support websites, customer portals, social media, and digital campaigns
  • Adapt to invoices, letters, business cards, uniforms, and promotional materials
  • Maintain its proportions across printing, signage, fabrication, and screen use
  • Create a consistent identity across customer-facing and operational touchpoints

The logo also needed to remain relevant as City Online expanded its packages, coverage areas, products, and technology services.

Our Brand Design Strategy

Marketorr developed the identity around the physical connection point used in wired networking.

An Ethernet port is a familiar part of routers, computers, switches, and other network equipment. It provides a direct visual connection with broadband infrastructure without depending on a general internet symbol.

The letters “C” and “O” were simplified and combined with the port shape. This produced a compact symbol that could represent both the company name and its service category.

An angled, technology-led wordmark complements the symbol. Its forward slant introduces movement and supports the brand’s positioning around faster internet and modern connectivity.

The published Behance presentation describes the engagement as an identity overhaul covering the logo, visual communication, marketing positioning, and guidelines for consistent brand representation.

What Marketorr Delivered

Custom “C” and “O” Logo Symbol

The primary brand mark combines the first letters of City and Online.

The “C” and “O” are reduced to geometric sections and arranged within a compact rectangular structure. These forms allow the symbol to remain connected with the company name, even when the complete wordmark is absent.

The standalone mark can be used across:

  • Website favicons
  • Social-media profile images
  • Customer portals
  • Router stickers
  • Network equipment labels
  • Mobile shortcuts
  • Employee identification
  • Promotional materials
  • Uniforms
  • Building signage

Its simplified construction helps the symbol remain recognizable at both small and large sizes.

Ethernet-Port Integration

The completed symbol incorporates the recognizable outline of an Ethernet port.

This element connects the identity with wired broadband, network infrastructure, routers, switches, FTTH connections, and information technology.

The port reference is built into the logo rather than added as a separate illustration. This keeps the mark minimal and gives it an industry-specific meaning.

The concept communicates what City Online provides without placing detailed cables, routers, or technical equipment inside the logo.

Logo Rationale

Marketorr documented how the separate visual elements form the completed symbol:

  1. The letter “C” represents City.
  2. The letter “O” represents Online.
  3. The Ethernet-port structure represents internet connectivity.
  4. The combined geometry forms the City Online brand mark.

This rationale gives the identity a clear relationship with the company’s name and services.

It also provides internal teams, printers, designers, and marketing partners with a consistent explanation of the logo concept.

Technology-Led Wordmark

The City Online wordmark uses a geometric, technology-inspired letter style.

Squared curves and controlled openings connect the typography with digital interfaces, networking equipment, and modern communication systems. The angled letterforms introduce a sense of speed and forward movement.

The wordmark remains readable beside the compact symbol and gives the full company name sufficient prominence across corporate communication.

It is suitable for:

  • Website headers
  • Company profiles
  • Customer documents
  • Service advertisements
  • Package promotions
  • Social-media graphics
  • Sales presentations
  • Signage
  • Employee clothing
  • Exhibition materials

Complete Logo Lockup

The primary lockup positions the yellow symbol beside the City Online wordmark.

The symbol creates recognition, while the wordmark keeps the company name immediately understandable. This combination is particularly important when the brand appears in new coverage areas or in front of customers who have not previously encountered City Online.

The full lockup can be used across corporate, commercial, and customer-service materials. The standalone symbol provides a compact alternative for limited spaces.

Geometric Logo Construction

The identity was developed through a controlled geometric structure.

Construction lines establish the width, alignment, angles, spacing, and relationship between the symbol and wordmark. These rules help prevent visual changes when the logo is reproduced by different vendors or internal teams.

The construction system protects:

  • Symbol proportions
  • Letterform alignment
  • Internal spacing
  • Wordmark position
  • Visual balance
  • Minimum size
  • Clear space
  • Consistent orientation

This structure supports accurate reproduction across screens, print materials, clothing, signage, stickers, and outdoor displays.

Logo Structure and Clear Space

Marketorr established spacing around the logo to protect its visibility.

Clear-space rules prevent phone numbers, service descriptions, images, borders, and other graphic elements from appearing too close to the mark. The guidelines also maintain a consistent relationship between the symbol and the wordmark.

These rules are particularly useful when the logo appears in crowded layouts such as:

  • Broadband-package advertisements
  • Social-media posts
  • Billboards
  • Customer invoices
  • Router packaging
  • Event banners
  • Website navigation
  • Product catalogues

Primary Brand Colours

The primary palette combines orangey yellow, dark navy, and white:

  • Orangey Yellow, #FABA21: Creates visibility and represents energy, speed, and active connectivity.
  • Dark Navy, #141F36: Provides a stable technology-led background and supports corporate communication.
  • White, #FFFFFF: Maintains contrast and readability across dark layouts.

Yellow gives the logo a distinctive visual accent. Dark navy creates sufficient contrast for digital interfaces, signage, stationery, and campaign materials.

Together, these colours help City Online avoid the generic all-blue appearance commonly used by technology and internet companies.

Secondary Colour Palette

The supporting palette includes:

  • White Smoke, #F4F4F4
  • Tory Blue, #1355B7
  • Carbon Black, #15151E

White Smoke provides a neutral surface for documents and minimal layouts. Tory Blue adds a familiar connection with technology and digital communication. Carbon Black supports high-contrast applications and darker branded environments.

The secondary palette expands the identity without competing with the yellow and navy primary colours.

Logo Background Variations

Marketorr prepared the logo for different background conditions.

The identity includes yellow, navy, white, and monochrome treatments suitable for:

  • Dark navy backgrounds
  • White backgrounds
  • Tory Blue surfaces
  • Yellow campaign layouts
  • Black environments
  • Product photography
  • Outdoor advertising
  • Printed documents

The symbol and wordmark retain the same structure across each version. Only the colour treatment changes to maintain sufficient contrast.

Business Card Design

The business-card system applies the identity to direct professional communication.

One side uses contact details and generous white space. The reverse side uses the dark navy background with the yellow City Online logo.

This combination creates a clear hierarchy for:

  • Employee names
  • Job titles
  • Phone numbers
  • Email addresses
  • Office information
  • Website details
  • QR codes

The design is suitable for sales teams, technical representatives, corporate account managers, support managers, and company leadership.

Letterhead Design

Marketorr extended the visual identity into a structured corporate letterhead.

The letterhead uses a controlled logo position, contact-information area, restrained colour application, and sufficient space for written communication.

It can support:

  • Official letters
  • Business proposals
  • Corporate quotations
  • Service agreements
  • Technical correspondence
  • Customer notices
  • Partner communication
  • Supplier documents
  • Internal memoranda

The restrained layout keeps business content readable while maintaining a recognizable brand presence.

Envelope Design

The branded envelope connects physical correspondence with the wider identity.

The logo is placed within a clean, professional layout suitable for customer, partner, banking, regulatory, and corporate communication.

The minimal design also reduces the risk of information being crowded by decorative graphics.

Social-Media Identity

Marketorr demonstrated how the brand system could support social-media communication.

The templates combine dark backgrounds, yellow accents, technology imagery, service messages, package information, and consistent logo placement.

These formats can support:

  • Broadband-package announcements
  • Coverage updates
  • Service notices
  • Promotional offers
  • Customer education
  • Technical tips
  • Router promotions
  • Recruitment posts
  • Company news
  • Internet-safety content

The social-media layouts show how the identity can remain recognizable even when individual campaigns use different images or messages.

Mobile and Digital Applications

The identity was tested within smartphone-based social-media and digital layouts.

The bright yellow symbol remains visible on small screens, while the dark backgrounds provide contrast for interface elements and content.

The compact logo can support:

  • Social-media profiles
  • Customer-service accounts
  • Mobile portals
  • Digital payment instructions
  • Internet-package advertisements
  • App icons
  • Messaging profiles
  • Online support interfaces

This flexibility is important for an internet provider whose customers frequently interact with the brand through mobile devices.

Employee Jersey and Apparel

Marketorr applied the identity to a navy and yellow jersey.

The logo remains clear against the dark fabric, while yellow sleeves and collar details connect the garment with the brand palette.

Apparel applications can support:

  • Technical field teams
  • Installation crews
  • Customer-support staff
  • Sales representatives
  • Promotional teams
  • Company events
  • Sports sponsorships
  • Community programmes

Consistent uniforms also help customers identify authorized City Online personnel during installations and service visits.

Sticker and Equipment Applications

The logo was demonstrated as a sticker, showing how the identity could function in less formal and more practical environments.

Potential applications include:

  • Routers
  • Network switches
  • Customer equipment
  • Installation boxes
  • Fibre terminals
  • Office equipment
  • Service vehicles
  • Promotional packs
  • Laptop stickers
  • Maintenance labels

The compact symbol and strong colour contrast support reproduction at reduced sizes.

Building Signage

The City Online logo was applied to a modern building exterior.

The solid geometric symbol and wordmark are suitable for fabrication as raised lettering, acrylic panels, cut metal, illuminated signs, or vinyl graphics.

Environmental branding can be used across:

  • Head offices
  • Branch offices
  • Customer-service centres
  • Network-operation facilities
  • Warehouses
  • Technical offices
  • Retail service points
  • Reception areas

The horizontal lockup provides clear visibility from a distance.

Billboard Design

Marketorr demonstrated the identity within an outdoor advertising format.

The billboard combines a technology-led image, short connectivity message, dark background, and City Online logo. Yellow highlights provide visual separation without introducing excessive colours.

This format can support:

  • New coverage announcements
  • Internet-package promotions
  • FTTH campaigns
  • Corporate internet services
  • Seasonal offers
  • Brand-awareness campaigns
  • Service-area expansion
  • Product promotions

The strong logo contrast helps the company name remain visible within a short viewing period.

Motion-Ready Logo

The logo’s modular construction allows the symbol and wordmark to be introduced through animation.

The “C,” “O,” and Ethernet-port elements can appear separately before joining to form the completed mark. The wordmark can then enter through a controlled directional movement.

This motion approach can support:

  • Website introductions
  • Social-media videos
  • Digital advertisements
  • Corporate presentations
  • Promotional videos
  • Exhibition screens
  • Service tutorials
  • Video end frames

The final animated frame remains consistent with the static logo, strengthening recognition across both motion and print.

Brand-Guideline System

Marketorr organized the identity into a brand-guideline framework covering:

  • Logo rationale
  • Logo construction
  • Symbol and wordmark relationship
  • Clear-space rules
  • Logo proportions
  • Primary colours
  • Secondary colours
  • Background variations
  • Stationery applications
  • Social-media direction
  • Apparel use
  • Environmental branding
  • Outdoor advertising
  • Motion applications

These guidelines help internal teams, developers, printers, designers, advertising partners, and signage vendors reproduce the identity consistently.

The Final Outcome

The completed identity gives City Online a direct visual connection with broadband technology and network infrastructure.

The “C” and “O” connect the logo with the company name. The Ethernet-port structure identifies the internet-service category, while the angled wordmark communicates movement and speed.

Yellow creates visibility. Dark navy gives the brand a stable technology-led foundation. The secondary palette provides flexibility for digital, printed, and environmental applications.

Business cards, letterheads, envelopes, social-media templates, mobile layouts, employee apparel, stickers, building signage, billboards, and motion applications demonstrate how the identity can operate across the complete customer experience.

The result is a scalable brand identity designed for an internet and IT-solutions company serving residential, commercial, and corporate customers.
